Medicare Open Enrollment not far off

So for most of you, Medicare’s Annual Open Enrollment is still looking like it’s far away. Due to COVID-19, the Office for Aging’s Health Insurance, Information and Assistance program (HIICAP) is looking at Open Enrollment  now and planning for how we should assist our clients from October 15 – December 7, 2020.    Time seems to fly by so quickly and the need for health insurance counseling continues to be in big demand each year. Collins Center Seniors Refund checks have been sent to passengers asking for a refund for the Fireworks in New York trip from July 3-6. The trip has been postponed until 2021. Refund checks have also been sent to passengers for Rhode Island Adventure from July 13 to July 16. Vouchers have been sent for the two trips that were canceled in March, $59 for the St. Patrick’s Day Show and $69 for Cartwright’s Maple Inn. Grape Belt Seniors cancel summer picnic, Cleveland trip events axed

The Grape Belt Seniors will not hold its regularly scheduled summer picnic in 2020 while the July 15 Day in Cleveland trip is also canceled. The group’s Pacific Northwest trip has been rescheduled to Sept. 13-20, 2021.
