Vincent and Annette (Conti) DeCosta were married in St. Anthony’s R.C. Church in Fredonia on Jan. 3, 1953.

They resided in Fredonia, where they both received their bachelors, masters and CAS degrees from Fredonia University. Annette taught elementary school in Forestville and Vincent taught in Cassadaga and B.O.C.E.S. in Fredonia.

After retirement, they spent their winters in Palm Springs, Calif. at Ramon Mobile Park. They have five children: Louann and Larry Smith of N. Canton, Ohio; Linda and Dave Houser of Silver Creek; Vincent and Josephine DeCosta of Cathedral City, Calif.; Louise and Ewald Bacher of Fredonia and Antonett and Joe Charletta of Riverside, Calif.

They are the proud grandparents of 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Vincent went to his heavenly home in Oct. 2015.
