Westfield Middle School Students of the Month

On a monthly basis, Westfield Middle School honors one student at each grade level as the Student of the Month. Teachers and staff had the opportunity to nominate one student who they believed met the following criteria:

1. Follows Westfield’s Rules of Respect for staff and peers

2. Shows outstanding effort and improvement or shows achievement and consistent high scores on tests, quizzes and projects

3. Prepared daily to participate in all classes

4. Serves as a positive role model for peers

5. Demonstrates a positive attitude and good citizenship

Three students were selected as a Student of the Month for the month of January :

For 6th grade, Tyler Tunison was selected. Tyler’s favorite subjects are art, science, and social studies. He finds drawing very relaxing and he is slowly getting better and better at it. Tyler hopes to attend Penn State some day, earn a degree in engineering, create a multi-million dollar industrial corporation fabricating new cars, household materials, and pollution alternatives.

The Middle School Student of the Month for 7th grade was Daniel Bratton. Daniel likes ELA and history the most in school. Outside of school, he enjoys fishing, as well as playing basketball, baseball, and soccer. In the future, Daniel hopes to earn straight “A’s” and get drafted into the MLB association.

Mihir Patel was the 8th grade Student of the Month for January. Mihir’s favorite class is math it his easiest subject. He also likes technology class because he can show his creativity. Mihir plays soccer outside of school, and he also mows lawns during the summer. In the future, he hopes to attend college and pursue a career in engineering.
