Silver Creek Central School: Valedictorian, co-salutatorian

Bridgette Ewing

Bridgette Ewing has been named valedictorian of Silver Creek Central School’s Class of 2020, with two students earning co-salutatorian status — Liberty Lawton and Olivia Zybtek.

Bridgette Ewing will study criminal and forensic sciences at the University at Albany. She wants to pursue a career as a crime scene investigator or forensic analyst.

She was class president, co-president of the National Honor Society, co-captain of the soccer team, editor of the yearbook and head of production for the Class Night video. She is the daughter of Carl and Kristin Ewing.

Liberty Lawton will study criminal justice at University at Buffalo. She wants to pursue a career in law enforcement but is still debating her specialized career.

In addition to being inducted into the National Honor Society, she served as its co-president and also was president of band and vice president of the Class of 2020. She played volleyball, basketball and softball, served on student council, belonged to Natural Helpers and Key Club.

She is the daughter of Christine Warsitz and Thomas Lawton Sr.

Olivia Zbytek, who also served as varsity soccer captain, will study criminal justice at the State University at Fredonia.

She wants to pursue a career as a police office. She is the daughter of Jennifer Zbytek and Scott Zbytek.
