The Gowanda American Legion Auxiliary Unit 409 and the Sons of the Legion Squadron 409 are pleased to announce the recipient of their annual scholarship. Rachel Comstock, the daughter of Tony and Jenny Comstock of Gowanda received a $500 scholarship to assist in furthering her education. Rachel will be attending the Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio where she will be studying nursing. The scholarship is given each year to a high school graduate who is furthering their education and has an immediate family member who is a member of the American Legion, Sons of the Legion or Legion Auxiliary. Rachel will be a 2022 home school graduate. Her father is a veteran and member of the American Legion.
