Fredonia troopers charge Erie woman with aggravated DWI

PORTLAND – On Sunday night, Virginia Barnes, 40, of Erie, Pa. was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and failing to submit to a breath test.

According to troopers, Barnes was parked on the south shoulder of State Route 20. She was apparently lost and could not find her way home. She reportedly failed field sobriety tests. She was transported to the Fredonia barracks where her blood alcohol content was reported to be .25 percent.

She was issued tickets and is due in the Town of Portland Court on July 16.

State Police at Jamestown

HANOVER – On Saturday, Joshua Kacprzak, 27, of Martin Road in Henrietta was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Kacprzak was stopped for reportedly failing to use his seatbelt on Allegany Road in Sunset Bay. He reportedly failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He was transported to State Police barracks in Fredonia where he provided a breath sample reported to be .16 percent.

He was issued traffic tickets and is due in the Town of Hanover Court on July 11.

RANDOLPH – On Sunday, Donald Beckman, 29, of Randolph was charged with driving while intoxicated.

A trooper responded to a report of a one-car motor vehicle accident on Sample Road. The officer charged him after investigation led to the conclusion Beckman had been driving his truck in an intoxicated condition.

Beckman was transported to State Police barracks in Jamestown where he provided a breath sample reported to be .13 percent. He was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Randolph Court and released to a sober individual. Beckman was not injured in the accident.
