CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

¯ HARMONY — At around 3:2 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, responded to an address on Hoag Road for a report of a trespass in progress. Once on the scene, deputies located Gregory R. Rosier, 56, of Jamestown and Leanne R. Calkins, 49, of Jamestown on the property without permission.

Calkins was issued an appearance ticket for third-degree criminal trespass and will answer to the charge in the Town of Harmony Court at a later date. Rosier was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and was additionally found to have outstanding arrest warrants issued by the Town of Hanover Court charging him with two counts of third-degree criminal trespass and two counts of petit larceny.

Rosier was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail and will be arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Program.

¯ HANOVER — A 70-year-old Dunkirk woman is facing charges after an incident Saturday evening.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., sheriff’s deputies handled an altercation complaint that occurred at a residence on Route 20. Further investigation found that Beverly A. Saletta, allegedly damaged property of another individual.

The incident allegedly occurred in front of a child under the age of 16. Saletta was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child. She was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment, and will answer her charges in town of Hanover Court later.

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — At about 9:30 p.m. Friday, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 430 for multiple observed traffic violations. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Shane A. Reed, 33, of Erie, Pa.

An investigation into the incident revealed that Reed was operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs. Reed was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, failure to keep right, and moving from lane unsafely.

He is scheduled to be in the town of Chautauqua court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ HANOVER — Troopers from Fredonia charged Nathan Crassi, 26, of Gowanda, with driving while intoxicated.

Crassi was pulled over on Route 5 on Saturday for a traffic violation and after failing several field sobriety tests, Crassi was placed under arrest. Crassi was transported to SP Fredonia where he provided a breath sample of .16. Crassi was then processed, issued tickets and released. Crassi is to be in the town of Hanover Court next month.

¯ SHERIDAN — Troopers from Fredonia charged David Bane, 50, of Sheridan, with driving while intoxicated.

Bane was pulled over on Route 20 on Saturday for a traffic violation and after failing several field sobriety tests, Bane was placed under arrest. Bane was transported to Fredonia barracks where he was processed, issued tickets and released. Bane is to be in the town of Sheridan Court next month.

¯ Troopers out of Jamestown charged Kiara Slaughter, 21, of Jamestown, with driving while intoxicated.

Slaughter was pulled over on Route 60 in Jamestown for a traffic violation and after failing several field sobriety tests, Slaughter was placed under arrest. Slaughter was transported to Jamestown barracks where she provided a breath sample of 0.11. Slaughter was then processed, issued tickets and released. Slaughter is to be in the town of Ellicott court on a later date.

¯ ASHVILLE — Troopers out of Jamestown charged Ethan Fardink, 31, of Mayville, with felony driving while intoxicated.

Troopers responded to a residence in Ashville for a welfare check last Tuesday. An investigation revealed that Fardink was not present and had driven from the residence in an intoxicated condition toward the village of Lakewood. Fardink was located at Walmart and placed under arrest after failing several field sobriety tests.

Fardink was transported to Jamestown barracks where he provided a breath sample of 0.14. As Fardink’s driving record revealed a DWI conviction within the preceding 10 years, the charge was upgraded to a felony. Fardink was then processed, issued tickets and released. Fardink is scheduled to be in the village of Lakewood Court next month.
