CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

— ARWRIGHT — At about 8:23 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bard Road. The operator Joshua S. Gordon, 41, of Gerry, did not have any injuries but after an investigation it was discovered that he was driving while intoxicated.

Gordon was charged and transported to the Pomfret substation were he was processed and released with tickets for moving from lane unsafely, driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated per se. He is to be in town of Arkwright court at a later date.

— IRVING — At about 5:03 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a residence for a report of an altercation. Upon arrival and after an investigation it was determined that Michael F. Laspesa, 38, of Irving did menace another person by displaying a dangerous instrument and threatened to physically harm them.

This incident did occur in the presence of a person under the age of 17. With the aid of a New York State Police K-9 unit Laspesa was located a short distance away and placed into custody. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail pending CAP arraignment and will return to the Town of Hanover Court later to answer the charges.
