— FREDONIA — New York State Troopers charged Dakota Morse, 25, of Jamestown, with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Morse was pulled over Saturday for a traffic violation on Route 60 in Fredonia and after failing several field sobriety tests, Morse was placed under arrest. Morse was transported to the Fredonia barracks where he was evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of cannabis.

Morse provided a blood sample at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk and was then transported back to SP Fredonia where he was processed. Morse was issued tickets and released. Morse is scheduled to appear in the town of Pomfret Court on a later date.

— FREDONIA — Troopers charged Catherine Velez Bonilla, 32, of Jamestown, with driving while intoxicated Saturday.

Velez Bonilla was pulled over on Route 60 for speeding and after failing several field sobriety, she was placed under arrest and transported to Fredonia barracks where she provided a breath sample of 0.16. Velez Bonilla was issued tickets and released and will be in the town of Pomfret Court later in the month.

— GERRY — Troopers out of Jamestown charged Kain Johnson, 20, of Gerry, with driving while impaired by drugs.

Johnson was pulled over for traffic violations on Route 60 on Wednesday. He displayed signs indicative of drug impairment and was placed under arrest after failing several field sobriety tests. Johnson was transported to Jamestown barracks and evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert and determined to be under the influence of drugs.

Johnson provided a blood sample at UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown. He was then transported back to Jamestown and released with tickets. Johnson will be in town of Gerry Court on a later date.
