CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ ELLERY — Drew C. Whidden, 45, of Bemus Point, was charged with DWI, moving from lane unsafely, following too closely, failure to stop at a stop sign and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 8:39 p.m. Wednesday in the town of Ellery for a traffic violation related to aggressive driving. An investigation determined that Whidden was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Jerry H. Rivera Diaz, 29; Christian M. Mojica Medina, 42; and Allen Y. Correa-Sanchez, 22, were each charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. A vehicle was stopped at 6:35 p.m. Thursday for a traffic violation. Officers conducted a vehicle search due to observed drug paraphernalia. During the search, officers located a loaded Smith and Wesson Semi-automatic handgun with two 16-round magazines as well as a 30.5 grams of cocaine and 16.8 grams of fentanyl, all individually package for sale. All three were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Mojica Medina was later found with Clonazepam and Alprazolam while Rivera Diaz was found with a small quantity of fentanyl.

¯ Kenneth S. Trask, 40, no address listed, was charged with three counts of public lewdness and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Officers at 12:10 a.m. Friday were called to Covenant Manor for a report of a male subject who had just exposed himself. An investigation determined Trask allegedly exposed himself and committed a lewd act in front of three people, two of whom were children. He was being held for arraignment. This is the fourth arrest for Public Lewdness since January 2023.
