On May 15 at approximately 5:26 p.m., Dunkirk Police Officers responded to an unknown disturbance in the area of West Fifth and Dove streets. Upon arrival the subjects involved fled the scene, but through investigation officers determined that a subject, later identified as Alejandro Gonzalez-Virola, 41, had been involved in some form of a domestic dispute with a female.

During the dispute Gonzalez-Virola reportedly struck the female victim with his vehicle before leaving the area. Gonzalez-Virola is also alleged to have displayed what appeared to be a handgun to witnesses who attempted to stop and help the female and threatened them with it.

Officers conducted follow up investigations and filed for a warrant for Gonzalez-Virola.
