Jamestown Police
— A Jamestown man was arrested after a routine traffic stop. On Thursday, Sept. 18, at about 12:40 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Seventh and Cherry streets. During the investigation, they identified the front passenger, Candy W. McBride, as having active arrest warrants out of the City of Jamestown. Upon further investigation McBride found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, and was charged with second-degree criminal possession of weapon; second-degree reckless endangerment, and discharging a weapon. McBride complied without incident, and was taken into custody before being transported to the Jamestown City Jail. McBride was released under the supervision of probation.
— Jeson Allen, 37, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, and Damion Carlson, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, and third-degree criminal tresspass. According to police, on Thursday, Sept. 18, at about 5:27 p.m., officers responded to a location on West Eight Street for a reported burglary in progress. While at the scene, officers located Allen and Carlson carrying miscellaneous pipes. Upon further investigation, police determined that both allegedly had stolen pipes, which were valued at more than $1,000, from the property. Both were taken into custody without incident and taken to the Jamestown City Jail, and will be in city court later.
— Kyle Stilson, 27, of Limestone, was charged Thursday, Sept. 18, at about 1:49 a.m., with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and unsafe starting. According to police, officers were patrolling the north side of the city when officers observed a vehicle commit a moving violation while leaving a business located at 518 N. Main St. Officers performed a traffic stop, and upon further investigation Stilson was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was taken to city jail, and will appear in city court later.
— William Suroviec, 42, of Clymer, was charged with DWI, at 1:18 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19. Police said that officers responded to The Wine Cellar for a report of an unwanted individual. When officers arrived, they were informed that Suroviec had already left the premises. While at the business, officers observed Suroviec drive past. A traffic stop was conducted at West Fourth and Washington streets, and upon further investigation, Suroviec was found to be intoxicated. He was taken to city jail, and will appear in city court later.
Ellicott Town Police
— Mikelle H. Davis, 23 , of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, on Sept. 10, at 4:09 p.m. According to police, officers responded to an order of protection violation, where it is alleged Davis contacted the protected victim which violated the order. Davis was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail, and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
— A Jamestown teen was charged Sept. 9, with making a terroristic threat. Police said officers responded to Falconer Central School for a threat that was made by a juvenile, where it is alleged the juvenile made terroristic threats of harm to others. The juvenile is due to appear in Chautauqua County Family Court later.
— Three Falconer teens were charged Sept. 6 with second-degree burglary, and petit larceny. According to police, officers responded to a burglary complaint, where it is alleged that three subjects in face masks entered an occupied dwelling and stole property from the dwelling. All three juveniles will be in family court later.
— Maurice R. Proctor, 38 , of Falconer, was charged Sept. 13, with second-degree DWI, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and aggravated unlicensed operation. According to police, an investigation was completed stemming from a personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that was struck on April 14, where it is alleged Proctor was operating a vehicle and struck a pedestrian in an intersection causing serious physical injury to the victim. Upon further investigation by a drug recognition expert on scene, said that Proctor was under the influence of a drug. Procter will be in town court later.
— Ericka K. Champlin, 54 , of Frewsburg was charged Sept. 19 with second-degree grand larceny. According to police, officers responded to a fraud complaint. Upon further investigation, it is alleged Champlin embezzled funds out of multiple accounts over years while employed by a local company in the town of Ellicott. The total amount of money is more than $100,000, police said. Champlin will be in town court later.
— Donna J. Torres, 68 , of Jamestown was charged Sept. 18, at about 6:09 p.m. with second-degree harassment, and second-degree resisting arrest. According to police, officers responded to a report of a disorderly person, where it is alleged Torres was threatening residents of a care facility. While taking Torres into custody, police said she attempted to strike the officers on scene. Torres was taken to Chautauqua County
Westfield Village Police
— Kenneth Neely Jr., 39 of North Tonawanda was charged Sept. 18, at about 11 a.m., with aggravated criminal contempt, third-degree assault, criminal contempt, and endangering welfare of a child. According to police, the Tonawanda Town Police Department contacted Westfield Police, and informed officers that Tonwanda officers had located Kenneth C. Neely Jr. and that he was in custody on active warrants. Neely had been wanted by the Westfield Police for the past two years. The charges stem from a domestic incident that occurred in 2023. He was taken to the county Child Advocacy Program for arraignment.
— Donald Baker, 66, of Westfield, was charged Sept. 18, with second-degree harassment. According to police, officers took a harassment complaint from a village employee regarding harassment. The employee was working in the area of Moore Park when Baker approached the individual and threatened to do physical harm to the employee and the employee’s personal property. Baker was located later in the day by police, and will appear in Westfield Town Court later.
— Nathan Schruise, 25, of Westfield, was charged Sept. 14, at about 12 p.m. with second-degree criminal tresspass. According to police, officers were called to a home on Washington Street for a trespass complaint. Upon further investigation, at about 5 a.m., Schruise was found to be on the property of someone who did not want him there. Schruise was asked to leave at the time and never return. Police said Schruise returned to the residence and entered it without the owner’s consent. Schruise will appear in town court later.
