JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Shakira L. Cuevas-Garcia, 23, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated and other violations. At approximately 4:05 a.m. Sunday, officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Second Street and Hopkins Avenue. A subsequent investigation revealed that Cuevas-Garcia was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Cuevas-Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Coulter, 34, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and first-degree felony criminal contempt at 6:30 a.m. Thursday after officers responded to a home on the north side of Jamestown for a reported domestic dispute. During the investigation, officers determined Coulter allegedly had sent the victim threatening messages via an electronic device in violation of a valid Order of Protection issued by Jamestown City Court. ELLICOTT POLICE - Michael G. Newman, 45, of Falconer was charged with first-degree menacing with a weapon and second-degree harassment on July 21 after officers responded to a disorderly person. Newman was allegedly waving a hatchet around and pouring lighter fluid on the apartment floor threatening to burn the building down. At around 11:12 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to 207 Foote Ave (UPMC Chautauqua) for a disorderly subject.
