DUNKIRK MAN CHARGED IN STABBING A Dunkirk man is facing second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon charges after a stabbing last week on Franklin Avenue. Dunkirk Police report around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, they received a tip that a male was stabbed. Officers made contact with the victim and after a short investigation it was determined the victim was stabbed once by Christian J. Rodriguez-Pagan over a verbal argument. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — CHAUTAUQUA — At around 1:19 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 430. The operator was identified as Ronald T. Andres, 57 of Lancaster. Further investigation found Andres was driving while intoxicated. Andres was charged with DWI, and aggravated DWI, and speed in zone. Curtis, 34, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief at 9:57 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a residence on the city’s west side for a reported physical domestic incident. Woman charged in Dunkirk stabbing incident A stabbing incident on Wednesday afternoon has led to charges against a city woman. Dunkirk police report that at about 2:30 p.m. they received a report of an incident on the 500 block of Leopard Street. Upon arrival, patrol located the male victim who alleged that, Layla Garcia, 23, of 522 Leopard St., stabbed him in the arm with a pair of scissors and hit him with a crowbar.
