CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT MAYVILLE — A Portville woman is facing a number of charges after a traffic accident at 3:12 p.m. Aug. 11. Deputies responded to an incident with injury at Routes 394 and 430. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that one of the vehicles involved had fled the scene. Cattaraugus County Sheriff deputies are being credited with saving a life using an epiPen. On July 26, Stanley Cizdziel was cutting trees with a friend when they encountered a hive of bees. As they dropped the chainsaw and ran back to the truck, Cizdziel was stung approximately 15-20 times. That's the last thing he remembers from the event. A Jamestown man has been found guilty of selling illegal drugs in Cattaraugus County and having a stolen weapon. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that a federal jury convicted Trenton Grant, 31, of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, and felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
