CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT Around 6 p.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office assisted the Jamestown Police Department with a hit and run accident. Deputies checked the area of 4911 Baker St. Ext. for the suspect vehicle which was located in the ditch. Further investigation found that Courtey M. Roman, 38, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration at 3:32 p.m. Feb. 13 after officers responded to East Second Street near Winsor Street for a reported fight. Officers report seeing Roman throw items at a passerby’s vehicle before trying to flee the scene when contacted by officers. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Two city residents face charges after police broke up a reported burglary. At 6:10 p.m. Thursday, city police participating in a Gun Involved Violence Elimination detail responded to a south side home for a reported burglary in progress. Officers saw a man jump out of a second story window behind the home while police also found a woman in the home. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Sole A. Thomas, 22, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault at 1:49 a.m. Thursday after city police responded to the north side of Jamestown for a fight. Upon arrival officers report seeing a large crowd and an active fight. After investigation it was found that Thomas allegedly assaulted another person and injured the other person. Westfield man facing drug charges after accident

A motor-vehicle accident Friday night led to charges for a Westfield man in the city of Dunkirk. At approximately 8:53 p.m., Dunkirk Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on the 300 block of Eagle Street. Upon identification of the operator of the vehicle, Mark C. Baker II, 36, was found to have an active and confirmed arrest warrant for a probation violation, wanted by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
