CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT --- ELLERY --- At about 4:40 a.m. Sunday, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle complaint on I-86 going eastbound near Mina. The vehicle was later located in the Town of North Harmony and stopped in the town of Ellery after a traffic infraction. The driver was Eric J. Rush, 50, of Knoxville, Tenn. After an investigation, Rush was charged with DWI, DWI per se, aggravated unlicensed operation. and failure to keep right. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – SHERIDAN – Dustin Strain, 23, of Ripley was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated. Deputies stopped a vehicle in the area of Route 20 and King Road for an observed infraction. The male operator was immediately suspected of driving the motor vehicle in an intoxicated state. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office substation in Hanover where he was processed for the arrest. Gowanda Police Department — GOWANDA — A Gowanda woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a teen last month. On Oct. 18, at 6:40 p.m., Gowanda Police responded to a disturbance on Jamestown Street. Officers were informed that a group of juveniles were walking on the sidewalk on Jamestown Street. Amber Kettle, 42, a resident of Jamestown Street, was involved in a confrontation with the group, of which she was previously acquainted with. ELLICOTT POLICE - Dustin A. McChesney, 27, of Jamestown, was charged with speed in zone, consuming cannabis in a motor vehicle, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 19. Ellicott police responded to a speeding vehicle on Allen Street Extension and allege McChesney was speeding while having burning cannabis in his vehicle.
