Lake Shore Savings Bank donates 100 pounds of food, $2,800 to Food Bank of WNY

On Dec. 6, Lake Shore Savings Bank presented the Food Bank of WNY with 100 pounds of food plus $2,800 for their annual Food 2 Families Food Drive.

The donation was the result of an effort related to a company function attended by Lake Shore Savings employees and supported by the company’s Board of Directors.

The remainder of the cash donated to equal the $2,800 came from the East Amherst Branch Location.

The drive to support the food bank was initiated by the East Amherst Branch Manager, Gabe Maddalena and his staff.

“Serving our community is paramount to the Lake Shore mission of putting people first,” Daniel Reininga, president and CEO, said. “The ability for us to help those in need during the holiday season is another way we can show support for our communities. I want to sincerely thank our employees and board of directors for their efforts in supporting the Food Bank of WNY.”

Lake Shore Savings Bank is a federally charted savings bank headquartered in Dunkirk with full-service branch locations in Dunkirk, Fredonia, Lakewood, Jamestown, Westfield, Orchard Park, Hamburg, East Amherst Depew and Kenmore.
