Brooks gets outpouring of support
Over these past few weeks, as Brooks-TLC has engaged in the fight against COVID-19, an outpouring of support and donations have continued to roll in to the hospital from individuals and organizations in the community and from around the country.
The hospital, last week, received a donation from Harbor Freight Tools in Dunkirk consisting of two pallets of gloves, N95 masks, and face shields. Julie Czyzewski made the request to Harbor Freight which was granted by store co-managers Todd Johnson and Byron Lawton.
A continuous flow of N95 respirators from local basements and garages have appeared, and friends, family and neighbors have sent hundreds of custom made masks to help keep their loved ones at the hospital safe and healthy. Talented seamstresses from Virginia, and as far as Wyoming, Idaho and Oregon, who are registered with the Deaconess Health System website, graciously created and sent several hundred additional fabric masks for use by hospital staff.
Brooks-TLC wishes to express their sincere gratitude to these generous individuals and organizations for donating N95 masks, hand sanitizer, hospital gowns, fabric masks, and other supplies for use by staff. To date, we would like to thank:
