Colley’s closing its Fredonia store
Colley’s Pools & Spas announced via its Facebook page, “with heavy hearts” that it will not be reopening our Fredonia location.
According to the post, the Fredonia location first opened its doors in 1980, founded by Bruce and Marie Colley, and quickly became the second of what would grow into four Colley’s locations. “Over the decades, this store has been more than a place of business — it has been a trusted resource, a familiar stop, and a part of everyday life for families throughout Fredonia and the surrounding communities,” the post said.
“We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the many employees — past and present — who made this location what it has been. Colley’s would like to recognize Pat and Jim Schroeder, who managed the Fredonia location at the beginning for an incredible 35 years and played a foundational role in its long-term success. We would also like to recognize and thank Katherine Brightman, who dedicated the past 20 years working at and managing the store, as well her son Ben Camp, who worked faithfully by her side for many years.”
While the Fredonia location will not be in operation, the Colley’s locations in Hamburg, Erie, Pa., and Clarence remain open.
