Borrello, Republicans say reject farming overtime changes

With a decision on whether to lower the overtime threshold for farm workers due to be revisited in late fall, Agriculture Committee Ranking Member George Borrello, R-Sunset Bay, and members of the Senate Republican Conference are calling on state leaders to reject any further reductions in the 60-hour threshold that was established by the Farm Laborer Fair Labor Practices Act (FLFLPA) of 2019. DiNapoli says Medicaid billing errors cost state more than $1.5 billion

The state Health Department has allowed more than $1.5 billion in improper Medicaid payments over the course of several years due to errors in its billing system and may have exposed patients to unqualified and uncredentialed health care providers, according to three reports released recently by state Comptroller Thomas P.
