Church of Christ plans free community meal

GOWANDA — The Trinity United Church, located at Erie Avenue and Park Street, Gowanda, will host a take-out only free community meal at the Park Street entrance on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. or gone. The menu is meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetable, bread and cookie. Free will donations are appreciated but not necessary. All donations are used to help other organizations in the Gowanda community. Drive East Main to Railroad Avenue and then down Park Street, following the signs, or walk up. Everyone is welcome. On Saturday, Dec. 13, from 4 p.m. until gone, Trinity Church will be handing out holiday meal items to be prepared by recipients and their families. The next meal is Jan. 10.

Humane Society sets monthly general membership meeting

The Lakeshore Humane Society will hold a monthly general membership meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Lakeshore Humane Society Adoption Center, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome. See www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org or call 716-672-1991 for information.
