The Cattaraugus County Health Department reported late Tuesday that two more residents have died due to COVID-19 related complications.

The 28th recorded death was a 55-year-old female who developed cardiac failure and was unable to overcome her illness despite aggressive medical treatment.

The 29th recorded death was a 78-year-old male who developed respiratory failure and was unable to overcome his illness despite aggressive medical treatment.

In addition, 39 new cases were reported on Tuesday with 352 active. Total cases number 1,177 with 796 recoveries. There are 21 hospitalized.
