County adds 122 new cases of COVID-19

Active COVID-19 cases in Chautauqua County increased to 731 on Friday as the department of health announced 122 new cases. Hospitalizations once again remained at 42 and quarantined contacts decreased to 2,258 from 2,308 the previous day. Jamestown dipped below 200 active cases for the first time since last week as the county reported 20 new cases in the city’s zip code. Chautauqua County reported its 47th COVID-related death on Thursday along with 105 new cases. According to previously released data, the fatality appears to be an individual in their 60s. Active cases increased in one day from 695 to 721, according to the data. Hospitalizations once again remained steady at 42.
