The water fountain at Russell Joy Park in Fredonia is off limits due to the crisis.

Fredonia Mayor Doug Essek said this afternoon the Fredonia water crisis “will be over shortly.”

During a press conference at Village Hall, the mayor praised the assistance of many in the distribution of water and patience of residents during the crisis. He also announced he will be presenting village trustees, in the future, with a plan for a second direct water connection to the city and north county water district. He also is proposing a second water tank, which had been previously proposed.
