Southern Tier Brewing Co.

Chautauqua County’s Southern Tier Brewing Co. will reportedly own and operate (716) Food and Sport, a two-story popular bar and restaurant located inside the HarborCenter complex in downtown Buffalo.

An announcement on the sale from Pegula Sports and Entertainment could come as soon as today. The move was reported Monday by Tim Graham of The Athletic.

(716) Food and Sport has been closed for nearly a year during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Southern Tier Brewing Co., based at the Stoneman Industrial Park near Lakewood, has grown considerably since its start. Owner Phin Demink noted in a August 2002 story that the equipment used to get the brewery up and running had been sitting unused in the former Old Saddleback Brewery in Pittsfield, Mass.

Southern Tier currently hs taprooms in Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Charlotte, N.C.
