Albert Foley running for Sheridan town justice
SHERIDAN – Albert “Scott” Foley is seeking election to the office of Sheridan town justice on Nov. 3.
“I’m a life-long resident of Chautauqua County and have lived in Sheridan for 25 years. I own a small grape farm and I’m a fifth grade teacher at the Silver Creek Central School District,” Foley said. “I really enjoy educating and working with people. Now that my children are grown, and the opportunity has presented itself, I would like to serve our community as the next town justice.”
Foley graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia and Allegheny College. He has a master’s degree in science education and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and elementary education. He is a member of Delta Kappa Pi, an International Honor Society in Education. He graduated from Fredonia High School in 1981.
“I am honest, impartial and faithful to the Constitution and laws of the United States and New York. I am committed to the role of town justice for the people of Sheridan.”
He is married to Ellen Connelly Foley and they have three children, Margaret, Jacob and Clare. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fredonia.
Foley has the backing of the Democratic Party and the Sheridan Independent “Concord” Party.
“During the past couple of months,” Foley added, “I’ve had the opportunity to meet a lot of people living and working in Sheridan. Getting to know and visit with my neighbors has given me even more incentive to work hard as Sheridan’s next town justice.”
