Community Service Fair to provide opportunities for students at Fredonia

The Office of Volunteer and Community Services will sponsor its fourteenth annual Community Service Fair at the State University of New York at Fredonia in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room on Wednesday, Sept. 20. The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to meet with a variety of local service agencies to learn about and sign up for volunteer opportunities with these prospective sites.

Participating agencies include: American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County, Camp Gross, Cancer Services of Chautauqua County, Campus and Community Children’s Center, Chautauqua Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council, Catholic Charities, Chautauqua Adult Day Care Center, Circle of Love, Child Advocacy Program, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Habitat for Humanity, Chautauqua County and Lakeshore Humane Society, Chautauqua County Rural Ministry, Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels, Greystone Nature Preserve, Fredonia Place, Fredonia Presbyterian Church (Food Pantry), Girl Scouts of WNY, Make-A-Wish of WNY, Salvation Army, Saint Columban’s on the Lake, The Chautauqua Center, United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders, Upward Bound, Fredonia Migrant Education Program and others.
