BROCTON — A teenager was taken into custody and charged with arson, following a fire last month.

On Oct. 7 on Route 5 in Brocton, the New Horizons Trailer Park water pump house suffered severe damage from a fire. The Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team along with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division conducted an investigation into this fire that has resulted in the arrest of Victor Manny Martinez, 19, of Fredonia.

On Wednesday, Martinez was charged with fourth-degree felony arson, arraigned in front of the Portland town justice, and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 property.
