Sherman residents charged with growing cannabis

SHERMAN — New York State Troopers out of Jamestown arrested two Sherman residents Sunday for allegedly growing cannabis.

Troopers responded to a residence in Sherman to assist Child Protective Services with an investigation. While attempting to locate James Murray, 29, and Emily Walker, 32, 12 marijuana plants were observed growing on the property. Murray and Walker were eventually located, placed under arrest and charged with unlawfully growing cannabis. Murray and Walker were processed at State Police barracks in Jamestown, issued appearance tickets and released, to appear in North Harmony Town Court on a later date.
