Acupuncturist relocates to Fredonia

Julian Pierce
An acupuncturist who was based in southern Chautauqua County has relocated to Fredonia.
Julian Pierce, licensed acupuncturist and owner of Park Place Acupuncture PLLC, began her journey of becoming an acupuncturist in 2012 when she started experiencing symptoms of an autoimmune disorder, later diagnosed as Grave’s disease. After being treated with Western medicine her symptoms did not completely resolve which then lead her to the discovery of holistic healing. While she began her own health journey through exercise, nutrition, meditation, reading, and journaling, she explored the benefits of traditional Chinese medicine and soon after became a believer.
After being treated consistently with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, Julian’s symptoms resolved and she realized this was her life’s purpose, she wanted to help others the same way she was helped. This immediately changed the course of her life and she pursued her goal of becoming an acupuncturist. Julian has a bachelor’s degree in business-communications from SUNY Fredonia and a master’s degree in acupuncture from The Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She passed her NCCAOM boards and is licensed in the state of New York.
While attaining her graduate degree she had the privilege of treating VA patients during her clinicals at the Canandaigua VA in upstate New York. Conditions she treated were PTSD, smoking addiction, and chronic pain. She also traveled to China where she observed acupuncture in a clinical setting at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM in Hangzhou. Immediately after graduation, Julian began working for cruise ships allowing her to treat patients around the world. After 7 months of treating patients in Europe and the Caribbean, she realized her dream was to bring the benefits of traditional Chinese medicine to patients close to home. She is now the proud owner of Park Place Acupuncture PLLC in Fredonia.
