Westfield woman arrested twice in same week
WESTFIELD — A Westfield woman was arrested twice in the same week.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday around 6 p.m. deputies were called to a residence on Felton Road for a report of an unwanted person. Upon further investigation, deputies said they found Rachel Blanchard, 37, at the residence, which violated an active stay away order of protection.
She was taken into custody and charged with second-degree criminal contempt as well as multiple open arrest warrants. After being taken into custody, Blanchard was allegedly found in possession of stolen property. She was additionally charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail.
Then on Wednesday around 11 a.m. deputies conducted a warrant check at a residence on Felton Road and located Blanchard. She was wanted for the town of Westfield Court for second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree burglary.
She was arrested and turned over to the county jail for arraignment.
