Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties remained under a winter weather advisory.

Between 3 and 5 inches of snow was possible in some locations, the National Weather Service in Buffalo stated. “The most snow will occur over the higher terrain,” the weather service said.

The advisory was scheduled to be lifted around 7 a.m. today. “Plan on slippery road conditions,” the weather service said. “The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute tonight and the morning commute on Tuesday. … Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.”
