SHERIDAN — A flea market will be held at the VFW Memorial Post, 2556 Route 20. The hours are 4 to 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The VFW says “thank you” to all those fish fry supporters. Though the VFW did not win, our loyal supporters voted us to the top 5 best fish fries in the OBSERVER/Post-Journal “Best of the Best” contest! While browsing and shopping at the flea market, please fill out a ticket to win two free fish dinners. No purchase is necessary for the free dinners.

The December flea market offered a 50-50 drawing. It was so popular, the VFW will be offering it again. Last month’s winner took home $146 and $146 helped our veterans. Chances are $1 each or 8 for $5 and the funds will again benefit the veterans.

The lucky winner of the 50-50 and free fish fries will be drawn on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. You do not have to be present to win.

In addition to the flea market, there will be a Friday night fish fry and Saturday breakfast and lunch served by the VFW.

Breakfast menu includes a Danish, breakfast sandwiches on homemade biscuits and fresh brewed coffee. Lunch menu includes homemade soup of the week, pizza and wings. The VFW offers a full service bar for a variety of beverages, including bloody Marys.
