Jacob Pearson

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn has announced that 39-year-old Jacob Pearson of Wilcox, Pennsylvania was sentenced Thursday before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi to 14 years in prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision. Pearson will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.

On or about July 5, 2022, Pearson engaged in sexual intercourse with a child who was less than 13 years old. The crime occurred at a location in the town of Evans. The defendant was known to the victim.

Pearson pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree rape, a Class B violent felony, on Dec. 14. During sentencing a final order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim, which remains in effect until January 2055.

Flynn commended Detective Ken Kloss of the Evans Police Department for his work in this investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Meredith M. Mohun of the Special Victims/Domestic Violence Bureau.
