A Dunkirk man has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle accident on Route 60 in Fredonia on Tuesday. According to a police report, at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday troopers responded to the area near Wal-mart on Route 60 for a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer. Investigation determined that a 2016 Peterbilt was stopped in traffic at a red light in the north bound lane. A 2006 Pontiac operated by Derek N. Seeger, 42 of Dunkirk, failed to stop and struck the rear end of the Peterbilt trailer. Seeger was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in this investigation. The investigation is continuing. This is an ongoing investigation.
