Missing persons group aids in search for area woman

WNY Missing and Unidentified Persons is forming a search party to aid in the finding of a missing Jamestown woman.

Amber Harrington, 23, of Jamestown was reported missing December 31, 2023, and was last seen on the north side of town after being involved in an altercation in early January 2024. Harrington is five feet, four inches tall and weighs 150 pounds, has brown hair and eyes and is reported as having kidney failure and suffers from medical conditions which require daily medication.

Officials from WNY Missing and unidentified Persons are requesting community help in searching for and finding Harrington.

“We invite all abled bodied men and women to help us on Saturday, April 6, for three hours -tentatively scheduled from 3-6 p.m., to help search and located Harrington,” said Merry Williams-Diers, founder of WNY Missing Persons and Unidentified Persons. “The meet up location will be at the 800 Block of Prendergast and Eighth Avenue. From there we will break down into smaller groups and search the train tracks and the Chadakoin River areas. Please wear boots and dress appropriately for the weather.”
