MAYVILLE – A member of the Department of Motor Vehicles is getting a salary increase, but not all county officials support the move. During the Chautauqua County Legislature meeting, lawmakers approved a resolution to reallocate the salary grade for the motor vehicles administrator from grade 14 to grade 17 by a 12-5 vote. The step level of the administrator was not announced. According to the CSEA 6300 Salary Schedule, a Grade 14 Step 3 employee receives $25.91 an hour. SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on June 9th with 15 in attendance. Some of the members chose to watch the historic Big Boy Steam Engine come through the area instead of attending the meeting.
