Dunkirk schools salute ‘devoted’ retirees

The Dunkirk City School District is set to lose more than six centuries of experience from its staff. There are 23 employees retiring at the end of this school year. Superintendent Brian Swatland told the Dunkirk Board of Education at its June meeting that between them, they have 660 years of experience with the district. “We have a lot of people here tonight who have devoted their lives to Dunkirk and our students,” he said.
