Patricia Lanz

WESTFIELD – Patricia L. Lanz, age 87, of Elm Street, Westfield, died at home peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, during her sleep.

Patricia was born on May 14, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late George F. and Doris Sylvia (Duncan) Green.

She married her loving sweetheart, William A. Lanz on May 7, 1949 in Brocton, NY; he preceded her in death on October 30, 2014.

Patricia enjoyed work- ing along side of the love of her life, William, on their boats and cars. She missed him deeply. She was a de- voted wife and loving moth- er to their 10 children. Patricia also enjoyed Thurs- day Canasta with the girls and treasured her time with her dear friend Sue Colven back for a couple games of their own super scrabble. Patricia loved to read with a great passion and played the piano beautifully. She will be sadly missed.

Patricia is survived by her three daughters; Karen Marie (Larry) Woolsey of Rio Rancho, NM; Jeannette Elizabeth Diamond of Westfield, NY; Lisa (Tho- mas) Bortle of Elbe, WA; and her seven sons; William (Linda Ball) Lanz, Jr. of Quartz Hill, CA; Alan Stewart (Diane) Lanz of Oviedo, FL; Erik Duncan (Nayantara) Lanz of Sun- land, CA; Michael (Mona) Lanz of Pasadena, CA; Christopher Kevin Lanz of CA; Todd (Darlene) Lanz of Hanover, PA; Neil (Ruth Brown) Lanz of Westfield; one brother; Roger (Jackie) D. Green, two sisters; Dar- lene Smith and Kay N. Mackie; and 16 Grandchil- dren, several Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents and her loving husband of 65 years, William, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Bane and by her brother, Dr. George (Elsie) F. Green, PhD.

Funeral services will be private with burial in Port- land Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Westfield, 101 E. Main St., or to the Fire Department of Westfield Memorial Fund, 23 Elm St., or to the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue7540 North Gale St.., all in West- field, NY 14787.
