MEDINA — Alan L. Lathrop, 50, of Slade Road, Medina, NY, formerly of Forestville, died Saturday, June 23rd, 2018, at Buffalo General Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born in Gowanda, on July 11, 1967, the son of Rita (Panek) Lathrop, of Forestville and the late Harold C. Lathrop.
Mr. Lathrop was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1985 and graduated from Fredonia State University. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant for the Defense Contract Audit Agency Rochester, for over 27 years.
Surviving besides his mother is his wife April A. (Maltbie) Lathrop, of Medina, whom he married in 1990, at St. Peter & Paul RC Church, Hamburg and several cousins.
Friends are welcome to call at Vay-Schleich & Meeson, 38 East Avenue, Hilton, NY on Wednesday from 4-8 pm and from Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Thursday from 4-8 p.m., from where Funeral Services will be held Friday morning at 11 o’clock, with Rev. Daniel J. Fawls, pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Medina, officiating. Interment will follow in Forestville Cemetery, Forestville.
