Norman Lloyd Riggins

Norman Lloyd Riggins (81) of Brocton NY received and accepted an extraordinary invitation on August 27, 2018 to join God Holy Choir.

Norman was born in Lincoln, NE on October 4, 1936. He met his soulmate Jacqui while both working at Disney World, they married in 1990, resided in Orlando FL, Colorado Springs Co. retiring in Brocton NY.

Music was Norman’s passion. He received his Master Degree in Music from the University Nebraska. His life was many-faceted, a Juilliard-trained opera singer, he performed internationally, as well as singing on Broadway, A ringmaster for the Barnum and Bailey Circus, a Director of the Indiana Jones show at Disney World, and a Print model, but most importantly, a true gentleman, a real class act, loving and kind, a mentor and friend.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Lloyd Riggins (Niruka) and two grandchildren Vianne and Oliver of Germany. Daughter Joy -Brizzi-Buell (Billy) Valley Lee, MD, two Granddaughters Cassandra (Logan) and Amanda both of Florida and two great granddaughters Jasmin & Elly. His sister Betty McCahon (95), Thousand Oaks CA, along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday Sept 1 at 2pm at the Gazebo in Brocton’s Ryckman Park, bring blanket/chairs.

At Norman’s request, his body was donated to UB School of medicine, Buffalo NY. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in the National Forest by visiting www.alivingtribute.org, cards can be sent to J. Riggins, PO Box 611, Brocton NY 14716.
