Gerald “Jerry” Jesionowski
Gerald “Jerry” Jesionowski passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 13th, 2018. He
was born in Dunkirk, NY on November 20th, 1951 and is a life-long resident of Fredonia, NY. He is the eldest son of Rachel Woodcock-Jesionowski and the late Stanley Jesionowski of Fredonia, NY. Jerry was a graduate of Fredonia High School in 1971. A Veteran of the US
Army during the Vietnam War from December 1971 to November 1973. He retired from Carriage House in May of 2015 where he was a SD Palletizer operator after being there for 41
years. He was currently employed at Lucky Lanes, where he was in charge of maintenance operations. He was a member of the Beaver Club of Fredonia, NY. He was an avid bowler and was in the Monday Lou Nocek B2 League and the Wednesday 4 man League, both at Lucky Lanes and
was a substitute for several other teams in various leagues. Jerry had many great accomplishments during his many years of bowling. One of his proudest and most honorable was
when he was inducted into the Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association Hall of Fame on June 4th,
2016. He won the very first Masters Tournament in May of 2000 and continued to win again in 2002 and 2006. He has had two perfect 300 games and over fifty, 700 series with a high
of 777. He was active in the Youth American Bowling Alliance for several years. He served on the Board of Directors for the Dunkirk Bowling Association. His favorite was to travel every spring to the USBC Open Championship with his extended bowling family. He had many hobbies
and loves. Most important to him was his adoration for his family and his loyal companion Pixie. He enjoyed watching his grandkids sporting events and concerts and his travels
to California to visit his family. He loved his Mustang, 4th of July was his favorite, watching fireworks, attending local races, playing his guitar, family picnics on his deck,
and taking his family to amusement parks (even though he was terrified of heights). He loved his fish aquariums and had a store, Tropical Fish Center, of Fredonia, NY many years
ago. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards. He was the kindest most unselfish soul
and would do anything for anyone. Besides his mom he is survived by his three daughters. Faith Jesionowski-Powell (Christopher Naus) of Brocton, NY. Sheila Jesionowski and (Steve Dando) of Brocton, NY and Chris Jesionowski (David Kuzmik) of Downey, CA. He was a proud Papa
to seven grandchildren, Hope, Brooke, Joshua, Ethan, Hailey, Jonovan and Cherish and three
step-grandchildren, Shaunah, Teaghan and John. A brother Jeffrey (Wanda) Jesionowski of Brocton, NY and a sister Gina Jesionowski-DuBois (Anthony Madonia) of Tonawanda, NY.
And several nieces and nephews and an extensive bowling family. He was proceeded in death by his father, Stanley Jesionowski. Calls may be made Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, 143 E. Main Street, Fredonia at 11 a.m. (Please Assemble at Church.) Full Military Honors will be accorded by the Dunkirk Joint Veterans Council at Church. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
