Sheila M. ‘‘Shelly’’ Waterman

She was born in Dunkirk on Jan. 8, 1960, the daughter of the late Jim and Gloria Smith. Shelly graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1978.

She enjoyed going to the casino with her husband, hanging out on their backyard deck with friends, and her famous “Taco Tuesdays.” She also took great pride in caring for her grandchildren as it was the highlight of her life.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Marvin A. “Butch” Waterman, whom she married Sept. 20, 1980; two daughters: Megan Waterman of Dunkirk and Ashley Margaret (Sam) Beardsley of Norman, Okla.; and three grandchildren: Jacob Kelly, Olivia and Jade Waterman, all of Dunkirk.

At the request of the family, there will be no prior visitation.
