GOWANDA — Althea M. Newton, 91, a resident of Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Miller Street, Gowanda, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at her residence. She was born in the Town of New Albion, N.Y., on Aug. 24, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Waite) Harvey.
Mrs. Newton enjoyed reading.
Survivors include two sons Russell Newton and Bryan Newton, both of Forestville. Also surviving are one granddaughter Chelsea Newton and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Edgar L. Newton, whom she married Nov. 24, 1949, in Randolph and who died Oct. 29, 2014, by two brothers Raymond and Larry Harvey, sister Norma Waite and daughter in law Susan Newton.
Private interment will be at the convenience of the family Villenova Cemetery, Town of Villenova.
