Carl E. Benson

Carl was born Oct. 22, 1946, in Oil City, Pa., the son of Carl and Mabel Jarzenski Benson.

Following graduation from high school,Carl went on to serve his country with the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, Carl was a property manager in the California area for awhile until he relocated to the north where he met and married his sweetheart Candy Sue Brown.

Carl was a San Francisco 49er fan and loved to go camping. He was a feline lover and enjoyed taking care of them.

He is survived by his loving wife Candy, sons Rob and Clint Benson, Michael Borst, daughter Amber (Borst) Michael Rylowicz, sister Charlotte Stone, Oil City, Pa., and granddaughter Sarah Rylowicz.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Benson, sisters Shirley Dittman and Patty Myers, and a son Clifford Greg Borst, Jr.

A graveside service will be held April 14, 2022 in Portland Evergreen Cemetery, Portland, N.Y., at 2 p.m.
