Editor, OBSERVER:

I am writing to share good news and bad news. The good news is that almost 90 businesses and offices are participating in the Feeding Fredonia Challenge this year, a wonderful reflection on the caring citizens of our community.

The bad news is that this means that the record keeping at the church has become more challenging, and this year a business was omitted from our list of participants in our ad of Oct. 3. Barbara Ann’s Hair Salon has been a participant in the challenge every year for the past 5 years. They are so committed that we have already picked up food from them and we are not yet halfway through this year’s challenge.

I want to offer them my deepest apologies for the omission and my gratitude for their heartfelt commitment to this effort. Thank you Barbara Ann’s Hair Salon for all you are doing.
