Patients need say in health care
The People's Column
Editor, OBSERVER:
Two years ago I had back surgery at a Buffalo hospital to repair three vertebrae which had separated and were causing pain.
The doctor woke me up one morning and said he was going to operate then. No second opinion, did not tell me it might make me an invalid.
Here I sit unable to walk and occasionally incontinent. I’ve talked to several lawyers and no one wants to take a case involving a doctor. It seems so unfair any doctor can do this and walk scot free and lawyers won’t go after the doctor that did this to me and how many others.
I pray this letter will shame someone into coming to my aid.
