Thirty years ago — 1991

Marcia Henderson, R.N., of Dunkirk has been nominated for the 1991 New York State Legislature’s Nurse of Distinction Award by Brooks Hospital. Mrs. Henderson is one of 407 nurses statewide to receive this designation which is based upon significant contributions to the field of nursing. She is listed in “Who’s Who in Nursing,” 1989-90.

Forty years ago — 1981

Calendar Girl for the month of March is Karen Bradley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bradley of Webster Road, Portland. A senior at Brocton Central School, Karen has been active as a varsity cheerleader, senior play cast member, Drama Club and Ski Club member. She plans to attend JCC to prepare for a career in the field of human relations.

Fifty years ago — 1971

Five Silver Creek High School musicians have been selected for the All-East Band. They are Mary Beth Bandura, Diana Mahle, John Shelley, Ronald Ward and Robert Piede.
