Thirty years ago — 1991
Pagano Tractor and Implement of Sheridan, N.Y., has won the prestigious Ford New Holland President’s Award, an honor bestowed only on about 5 percent of the nearly 1,750 Ford New Holland farm equipment dealerships in the United States and Canada. The award is based on results of in-depth surveys of dealership customers conducted in 1990 by Ford New Holland.
Forty years ago — 1981
“The Rich Man From America,” a two-act play by Jim Fox, Mayville bureau chief for the OBSERVER, will be one of three dramas to be produced by The First Stage in Chapel Hill, N.C., this summer. Mr. Fox has been a professional writer since the age of 16 and is a full-time journalist. He also is the author of several books and has written 25 documentaries along with stage plays, fiction and numerous articles for Collier’s, the New York Times, Saturday Evening Post and the Washington Star.
Fifty years ago — 1971
Paul J. Cambria Jr. of Fredonia has been named case note and comment editor of the Law Review, published at the University of Toledo College of Law. He has written two articles to be printed in the next issue.
